8 Basic Care for Combination Skin
Combination skin can be a bit complicated in terms of its care. This type of skin is mainly characterized by a greasy T-zone (forehead, nose and chin), and dry cheekbones and eye contour.
This means that special care is needed for the skin of the face, which manages to moisturize the skin without greasing the T-zone. Good hydration, diet care and special skin care with market or homemade products are needed to look radiant and full of life.
Here are 8 tips for basic combination skin care:
1 Mandatory facial cleansing

The skin is the most extensive organ of our body. Neglecting it means neglecting our body and our health. This is why we should start by cleaning it consistently twice a day (when we get up and go to bed). For combination skin you can use a purifying gel, preferable to some soaps perhaps very aggressive to the skin. To remove excess fat on the face, apply the gel in a circular motion to the T-zone and the other areas.
2 Removes hot water

Yes, hot water can help us expand pores for deeper cleaning. However, in this case it is much more advisable to use water vapor. Try to eliminate hot water both in the shower and by washing your face, so as not to stimulate the generation of sebum. In the same way, very hot water causes the death of skin cells and the rupture of blood vessels. It is advisable to keep the temperature below 18 degrees Celsius.
3 Keep your skin hydrated

You can maintain the skin’s natural moisture by using special moisturizing creams and soaps for the face. There are specialized creams and soaps for all skin types, so remember to look for the product labeled especially for combination skin, which usually says “oil free” (that is, free of oils and with astringent and antiseptic formulas). If you don’t think it’s a good idea to overhydrate, think twice. Moisturizers in addition to moisturizing the skin, create a layer that protects us from external aggressions, and help you keep the pores of your face clean.
4 Vitamin C

Vitamin C is ideal for preventing sagging skin. Vitamin C is known for its nourishing properties that help keep the skin firm and smooth. You can use creams with vitamin C or eat foods that are rich in this supplement, such as
- Broccoli
- Kiwi
- Paprika
- Tomato
- Spinach
- Guava
- Lemon
- Orange
- Grapefruit
- Mango
5 Exfoliate

Your skin, like your body and mind, sometimes need a few small caresses. An ideal and necessary care to keep the skin rozagante and full of life is exfoliation. Recommended at least once a week, exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells, allowing for a deeper cleanse.
6 Nourishes

After you have cleansed and exfoliated your face, you can use a face mask focused on some of these ingredients: clay, algae, oatmeal, tomato, yogurt and lemon. The mask will be responsible for nourishing your skin and leaving it relaxed and rubbing.
7 Tones

The toner, in addition to being extremely refreshing and relaxing, helps fight sagging skin and open pores. Once you have finished cleansing, exfoliating and nourishing your face, apply a little toner with small taps on your skin. Let the liquid dry and apply moisturizer. Avoid using astringent toners outside the T-zone, as they will dry out the skin excessively.
8 Choose the right makeup

Not all makeup works for all skin types. To avoid that unpleasant shiny appearance you can choose a matte base without oils. On the other hand, on top of the base you can place a little translucent powder to hide the greasy areas. And of course, never forget to take off your makeup before going to sleep.
