How to get rid of bikini marks

You have been at the beach for several days. After loving care, your skin has that perfect tone you wanted. You stop by a store and see a sensational and beautiful bikini. You buy it immediately and the next day on the beach, your skin looks different colors. The white of what has never seen sun and the honey of your beautiful tan. Don’t think you should be enslaved to a single bikini for your entire vacation. You can change and use several of them without looking like a leopard.

One option, if you have the possibility isto go to a nudist beach. That way you will never have bikini marks and when it comes to wearing it, your skin tone will be homogeneous. Since that is not easy, another option is to resort to artificial tanning. Whether professional or homemade, it’s a way to have the same skin tone. Of course, once you arrive at the beach, again there will be more tanned parts than others. Check out these options to get rid of bikini marks.

1 Exfoliation

1 Exfoliation

Tanning implies that the top layer of skin changes color. With an exfoliation, a little color may be lost, as dead cells will be removed. Exfoliation is usually a mechanical process, but it can be done in different ways. One of them is to wear an exfoliating glove, loofah or scourer. Use it sensibly, do not exaggerate but rub gently.

You can also use a body scrub cream, which they sell in any pharmacy, exfoliate your entire body when you are in the shower. Another option is to make your own exfoliating lotion: you can use olive oil and sugar, or a moisturizer and sugar or salt. Mix well and then spread it on your skin and with circular movements go covering the surface.

After an exfoliation, your skin will look clearer and you can tan evenly.

Clear marks can be covered with tanning cream or fake tan. Exfoliate your skin first to have a homogeneous covering, then carefully apply the tanning cream only on the whitest parts. Let dry. The next day, if the difference is still large, you can apply another dose. Let it dry well before wearing your swimsuit to avoid staining it. Do not forget to wear gloves when applying the tanning cream, as it can stain your hands.

3 Epilator creams

Epilator creams not only remove hair that we don’t like, they also remove the color of your tan. Apply the epilator cream on the darkest areas and that will lower the tone. Be very careful, because if you are on the beach your skin is already felt by the sun and sand. Be even more careful the next day, as the skin will be sensitive to the chemical, so use plenty of sunscreen to protect your skin.

4 Tanning bed

We do not recommend this at all, as it affects the skin a lot and its effects on it are stronger than those of the sun. In any case, if it is essential, always use sunscreen in the tanning bed. However, remember that your skin is one and that it should not be subjected to excesses.
