How to have perfect and healthy feet

One of my mother’s best advice was to take care of my feet, because they had to last me a lifetime and are the part of the body that suffers the most. As in so many things, my mom was right. The feet are subjected to a lot: tight shoes, heat, long walks, high heels, our body weight.

And yet, we don’t take care of them as they should be. The only way our feet can protest is by hurting or getting horrible ugly. Obviously, the ideal is never to reach that state. That is why, if at the arrival of summer you want to have beautiful feet, you must take care of them during all the seasons and every day of the year. And that does not only mean getting a pedicure every few months to make them look beautiful, but also taking care of them at all times so that they are healthy.

1 Beware of heels

1 Beware of heels

Yes, you are right, with heels you look taller, leaner, with better posture and more elegant. What happens is that heels put all the weight of your body in the area of the metatarsals and fingers. That forces the foot to deform little by little to have more grip. As if that were not enough, if the shoes are uncomfortable or tight, your feet will receive pressures and tensions on all sides. It is not surprising that deformations of the foot appear, such as bunions, hammertoes and blisters.

If you want your feet to be beautiful you have to dose the heels. Use them one day yes and one day no, or better yet, one day yes and two no. In addition, if you are going to wear heels, buy shoes of excellent quality and materials, so that the foot suffers less.

2 Feet up

Once you get home after a whole day sitting at a desk or walking, your feet require attention. The first thing is to take off your shoes, wash your feet with warm water, dry carefully without forgetting the space between your fingers and put a softening cream. Then put your feet up while reading, watching TV, or listening to music. That will make your feet relax after a hard day.

3 Exfoliation and maintenance

Every night before bedtime, it is good to pass the pumice stone or exfoliating shovel, then put a nourishing cream on it and sleep with socks. We assure you that your feet will remain soft and cared for and you will avoid cracked heels.

Every time you shower, pass the pumice stone to remove hardness. Once a week it is good that you apply an exfoliating cream to your feet to keep them ready. Always apply a moisturizer afterwards.

4 Pedicure

4 Pedicure

This part is essential to have beautiful feet. Your nails should be short and filed. There is nothing uglier than long, sloppy toenails. When you leave the shower you can pass an orange stick through the cuticles to keep them well. Once a week you can get a homemade pedicure: exfoliation, hardness reduction, nail cutting, cuticle reduction and painting. Another option is that you go once a fortnight or a month to get a professional pedicure. Careful feet appreciate it.

5 Sun

5 Sun

You have met all the rules, your feet are beautiful this summer. But now comes the sun and sandals. It’s best to apply sunscreen to your feet daily. Since you are going to wear sandals every day, your feet will be more exposed to the dirty of the street. It is best to wash them carefully when you get home and every two or three days apply an iodized soap to avoid any dermal disease.
