How to put on makeup in winter

With the arrival of winter not only changes the climate and natural landscapes, it also changes our look, the way we dress and make up. That is why our makeup in winter will not be the same as what we wear during spring or summer; since our appearance and mood is not the same and that is reflected in our personal aspect. Today we are going to give you some tips to make up in winter with a classic style, both for the night and for the day to day. Anyway, remember that your winter makeup style will also depend a lot on the clothes you wear, so try to apply these tips intelligently taking into account not only what you are wearing but also your personal style, and make you always feel comfortable and play in your favor.
1 Day makeup for winter
Base and blush
During the winter it is normal for our skin to look paler, beyond the natural tone that can be lighter or darker, the typical summer color will not be; that is why we will use a clear, opaque base, and a very discreet blush, trying to only slightly mark the shadow of our cheekbones without exaggerating. During the winter the imperfections of the skin are more noticeable, so you can use a concealer if you want to cover spots and dark circles.
Eyes and shadows
For a day makeup it is best to achieve a fresh and sweet look. We can achieve this with very light and dull pastel or earth tones. Perhaps an ochre or a pink, but soft and giving light to the inner part (vertex) of our eye. You can apply a not very dark eyeliner, also in pastel tone or in some light brown to give more definition to the look. Finally finish with a brown mascara so that your eyes look bigger but at the same time naturally.
Lips
You can use a shine that will provide naturalness and also gives you a jovial look while moisturizing your lips. If you prefer classic lipsticks you can opt for beige colors or pastel pinks; and during the day do not abuse the eyeliner as it hardens the features.
2 Evening makeup for winter
Base and blush
The base will be the same as we do with makeup during the day, only you must bear in mind that during the night the light is artificial and some things go unnoticed; that is why it will not be very necessary that you perfectly cover each imperfection with concealers, since it is likely that it will not be noticed as much as during the day. As for the blush you can opt for tones with a slight shine, as it will bring more glamour and elegance.
Eyes and shadows
Here you can play a little more to make your look more sensual and intense; this can be achieved with more marked outlines using darker brushes or pencils and a thicker line. You can also blur with dark and gray shadows, and with some brightness. Anyway always remember that in matters of makeup “less is more“: this means that when in doubt it is better to miss and not over, or you will not want to look like an exit from the circus.
Lips
The makeup of your lips will depend a lot on your style: there are women who opt for reds or dark lip colors since they contrast with the pale face and also provide a lot of personality. But others prefer a more natural style with earth tones or pastels a little more delineated. Glitters are always welcome, but keep in mind that if you’ve already put a lot of sparkle in your eyes, you’d better leave your lips with something more discreet.
