How to remove the permanent tabs

Making a permanent eyelash is not easy, and this can result in a catastrophe in our eyes. Eyelash perm is a chemical process by which the eyelashes are artificially curled, achieving a more pronounced curvature.

Eyelash perm can last from 2 to 8 months depending on the product used. Although there are those who love this technique to be able to show off long and curved eyelashes without the need to apply makeup, there are times when the result is not good. If you have very long eyelashes, for example, they can curve excessively, looking shorter than desired.

On the other hand the eyelash perm has many benefits. In addition to providing shape, it provides volume, nutrition and protection, since the product fixed in the hairs prevents drying, breakage and damage by rubbing.

Today we will give you some tips to reduce the effects of the permanent in case you have not been happy with the result. It is important that you do not start rubbing them uncontrollably, as this will not eliminate the effect of the perm, but it will weaken your eyelashes.

1 Water

It is usually recommended not to wash your face for two days, as this can eliminate the effect of the perm. If you have been very unhappy with the result you can put cold water in a large container and introduce your face for 20 seconds. Repeat this three times a day for two days.

2 Olive oil

As always, olive oil to the rescue. The properties of olive oil can help you so that the chemicals of the perm are not fully absorbed by the eyelash. Apply a few drops of olive oil on your eyelids and rub them gently. Do this twice a day until you have lessened the effect of the permanent.

On the other hand, the chemicals in the perm can irritate your eyelids and eye contour. Olive oil can also help you lessen this discomfort.

3 Vaseline

As with olive oil, petroleum jelly will help to gradually detach the chemicals from the perm. Apply some petroleum jelly with a Q-Tip from top to bottom. Repeat this every day until you have lessened the effect of the perm.

In the market you can find some products that neutralize the chemicals of the perm, relaxing the affected hair. Most of these products are made for the hair on your head, so you should only apply a few drops to your eyes with a Q-Tip. Be very careful, as it is not recommended that any of these products enter your eye.
