Nail hardener: how to apply it

It seems to be a matter of times. As soon as your nails are spectacular, beautiful, perfect and hard as stones, as the matter changes and you happen to have some weak nails, which flake, split or do not finish growing.

For those cases, you have to check some aspects well before moving on to the nail hardener.

Are you over-fond of gel manicures or acrylic nails? While it is true that gel manicures last a long time and save you a lot of time, on the other hand they destroy the nails. Acrylic nails, on the other hand, destroy the base of the nail with chemicals and also does not let them breathe.
In addition, the method of dissolving the enamel in gel or removing acrylic nails also does a lot of damage to the nails. Better let your nails recover for a while.

Are you feeding properly? Check your calcium levels, keep in mind if you are getting enough protein. Remember that the beauty of your nails and hair always comes from within.

Whether those reasons or others, here we tell you how to apply your nail hardener.

A nail hardener is a product that we can use all year round. It doesn’t really hurt and can always help. In that case, apply the hardener before painting your nails instead of base.

Another option is to undergo hardening treatments once a year, for example. In that case, choose a month and during those 30 days try not to paint your nails and apply only the hardener. Every 5 days remove the previous one and apply it again.

If it is a specific case, you can apply hardener only when you require it. In that case, choose if you want to use it under your nail paint or prefer to let your nails rest for a while of chemicals.

Before applying the nail hardener you must remove all traces of nail polish. Always use a mild solvent, remember that using radical solvents, such as acetone, is very bad for nails.

This is the time to file your nails well, because if you have weak or scaly nails it is better to have them short.

After filing, you should wash your hands very well and brush your nails.

Once your nails are perfectly clean, dry them carefully and place a specific regenerating cream for hands and nails. Let the cream penetrate well. An hour later, wash your hands again with soap alone and dry carefully. Now it’s time to apply it

With your hands and nails clean, you will take your hardener and apply it carefully on the entire surface of the nail. That includes the back that protrudes from your finger.

When I tell you to do it carefully it is because it seems that as the hardener is not seen, we give two brushstrokes to each nail and we consider that it is enough. Not so, the hardener should cover the entire nail well.

In this case there are two schools. Some people consider that if you are undergoing a specific treatment, you should spend four days in a row applying a layer of hardener each day. In this case, after four days you apply solvent, follow the process of filing, washing, brushing, nourishing and reapplying the hardener.
Others consider that you can put the hardener under the paint is more than enough. In that case, apply the hardener, let it dry, and then apply your enamel as usual. You would put on the hardener every time you get a manicure.

To choose the option, you know the condition of your nails and what you think will be better.

Whatever your problem with your nails, surely a good diet will help you.

Remember that a hand in which all the nails are the same size is much more beautiful than a hand that has long nails and short ones. If your nails are weak, it is better to lower them and take care of them until they improve.
